Dr. Andrea Trescot is an interventional pain management specialist in our Orange Park Florida practice. She is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Dr. Trescot received her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine and her residency in Anesthesiology at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, M.D. She also completed her fellowship in pediatric anesthesia at the Children’s Hospital National Medical Center located in Washington, D.C.

 

Before joining Physician Partners of America, Dr. Trescot has worked in various leadership positions throughout her medical career. These include serving as Owner, Partner, President, Vice President, Treasurer, Medical Director, Board of Directors and Chief Medical Officer.

 

Dr. Trescot is a lifetime member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. She is also a member of the Alaska Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the World Institute of Pain, the North American Neuromodulation Society and, the International Neuromodulation Society.

 

Dr. Trescot is the founder and director of a charitable organization (501c) known as Project Pain Relief. She has received numerous awards throughout her life, some of which include the Excellence in Physical Diagnosis Award from the Medical University of South Carolina, the Outstanding Service Award from the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and, the Distinguished Physician Award from the Florida Medical Association.

Andrea Trescot, MD served as a pain clinic director in private practice in Orange Park for 10 years before she moved to academics, first as the pain fellowship director at the University of Florida, and then as director of the pain fellowship program and full professor at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. She then spent several years practicing in the great state of Alaska, but she has returned to her home area of Jacksonville.

 

Dr. Trescot served as President of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), President of the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (FSIPP), and President of the Alaska Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (AKSIPP). She is also the Chief Medical Officer of Stimwave, a wireless stimulation company.

 

Dr. Trescot has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters and she is the editor and senior author of a 900-page pain textbook “Peripheral Nerve Entrapments – Clinical Diagnosis and Management“. She is also co-author of “PainWise – A Patient’s Guide to Pain Management“, as well as co-editor of the three-volume pain review textbook “Pain Medicine & Interventional Pain Management – A Comprehensive Review“. She speaks nationally and internationally on topics of pain medicine and interventional pain management.
