JAMES ST. LOUIS BLOG

World renowned laser spine surgeon James St. Louis, D.O., MS, is now accepting Medicare as well as other insurance for laser spine surgery. The surgical founder of Laser Spine Institute, who became director of Physician Partners of America – Minimally Invasive Spine Group in January, is accepting patients from throughout Florida and beyond.

He will hold free educational seminars at The Waterfront Inn in The Villages in Central Florida on May 12 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. This is the second in an ongoing series of seminars in which Dr. St. Louis will do free, on-site MRI reviews for those interested in laser spine relief from neck and back pain.

Minimally invasive laser spine surgery is a revolutionary treatment for debilitating spine pain. It requires an incision of one inch or less, allows patients to walk out the same day of the procedure, and is performed on an outpatient basis in our AAAHC-accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center at 4726 N. Habana Ave. in Tampa. Recovery generally takes weeks, not months.

Dr. St. Louis is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery by the American Board of Physician Specialists. A commissioned officer in the United States Army, he earned his Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. He received his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and completed his surgical training in the military and at Kennedy Medical Center in Cherry Hill, N.J.

He also studied stem cell therapy at leading hospitals in the Ukraine, and participated in studies of laser science in the Czech Republic. In addition to Laser Spine Institute, Dr. St. Louis is also the founder of Alabama Bone and Joint Center and Pensacola Bone and Joint Center, and served as medial director of HealthSouth in Pensacola.

He earned a Meritorious Service Award and Commendation Medal from the Army in 1994. He was appointed by former Florida Governor Charlie Crist to the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine, serving from 2008 to 2012.

Dr. St. Louis is a member of many medical organizations including the American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, American Medical Association and American Association of Physician Specialists.

Pain patients interested in discussing laser spine surgery with Dr. St. Louis and discussing their costs under Medicare or insurance can make an appointment directly with his office.
