Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery at Its Finest

Our ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) provide a patient-centered experience. Unlike hospitals, the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Florida Ambulatory Surgery Centers focus on performing surgeries and providing as pleasant a patient experience as possible.

Physician Partners of America and its affiliates at the ASCs have the shared goal of strengthening the patient-physician relationship, and that starts with a top-notch patient experience.

Creating a different experience starts with how things are done behind-the-scenes in business and administration. Unlike hospitals, our ASCs do not have to maintain and carry costs for multiple other departments. This means that for the patient, the ASCs are often able to offer a lower price for surgeries. Additionally, patients do not have to endure long wait times the day of their surgery and have shorter wait times to get their surgery scheduled. Following procedures, patients also enjoy the added option of recovering at home comfortably and safely with caregivers and loved ones.

The range of surgeries we offer is vast. Our highly qualified surgeons not only perform a variety of outpatient procedures; they also specialize in certain procedures. Our surgeons are also not burdened by the demands of the hospital system; this allows them to connect more with each patient and operate in an ideal environment.

Surgeries are performed at state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery centers by our team of expert surgeons. Our ASCs are convenient and less stressful for patients who want to enjoy the same high-quality healthcare as a hospital but avoid the discomforts of inpatient hospitalization.

Our ASCs are also able to utilize affiliate services to streamline and expedite any pre-surgical requirements. Through the ASCs’ partnership with Physician Partners of America, we are able to offer a stress-reducing instead of stress-inducing process for obtaining pre-surgical requirements. Pre-surgical screenings take weeks instead of months, eliminating a barrier to obtaining the relief patients so desperately need.

Our Ambulatory Surgery Centers accept all forms of United States, Canadian and other foreign government insurance. ASCT also accepts Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, Workers Compensation and all forms of commercial insurance.

We pride ourselves on offering a high-quality surgical alternative that patients can trust and appreciate.

Counseling Can Save a Life

Typical Outpatient Surgeries

Not every procedure can be done in an outpatient surgery center, but here are a few that are performed:

  • Epidural Steroid Injections
  • Facet Joint, Sacroiliac Joint and Selective Nerve Root
  • Intraarticular Joint Injections with Regenerative “Biologics”
  • Breast Biopsy
  • Intramuscular and Trigger Point Injections

While our goal at Physician Partners of America is to help you have your surgical procedure done as quickly and effortlessly as possible, some medical conditions require hospitalization instead of outpatient care. We will take the time to discuss all your options with you.

Physician Partners of America created its outpatient surgical centers for three important reasons

It Costs Less

Because you don’t have to be concerned about staying overnight in the hospital, the cost for outpatient surgery is dramatically less. This is because hospital room costs and the expenses that are related to it are the biggest part of your bill. If you don’t have to stay overnight, you won’t incur those kinds of costs.

Work Around your Schedule

For many of our patients, it’s easier to schedule outpatient surgery around their work schedule and family life than it is to be admitted to the hospital. If you’re having a procedure done in a large hospital, you are at the whim of surgeries ahead of yours that may take substantially longer and, thus, delay your own surgery.

The chances of that happening in a same day surgical center are far less.

Greater Comfort

Generally, outpatient surgery at a Physician Partners of America facility is less stressful than inpatient surgery. You’ll also have the opportunity to recover in your own home instead of being tied up at the hospital.

One of the biggest benefits to an outpatient surgery is how much easier it is for children. Kids can be very frightened in the hospital overnight away from home but in the outpatient surgical center they can recover quickly and go home that day.

What to Expect

When you arrive at one of our ASCs for outpatient surgery, you will be checked in the same way you would be at the hospital. You will be escorted back to your own private area where your loved ones can come and wait with you while your surgical team prepares you for surgery.

Following your procedure, you will be returned to your private area where you will spend some time recovering. Once you are cleared, your designated driver can take you home to relax and recuperate.

We also offer courtesy patient transportation and free medication delivery.

Our goal is always to make you comfortable so that you have a friendly and stress-free stay at the outpatient surgical center. Any surgery can be demanding, so our staff will be there to hold your hand and help you have as comfortable an experience as possible.
